Isolated Leverage · also called single-lever stagnation
why doesn’t any of this compound for me
Isolated leverage is owning several separate pieces of advantage — a skill, a bit of capital, a network, a tool — that never touch each other because you treat each one as a finished trophy instead of a gear in a machine. Nothing compounds because nothing is connected; you have parts, not a system.
Those aren’t trophies on the shelf. They’re gears you never bothered connecting to anything.
What to do about it
Pick your two strongest existing assets and force them to interact this week — use the skill to earn the referral, use the referral to fund the tool.

How people say it
Nobody looks this up by its clinical name. These are the ways it actually gets said.
- I have all these skills but nothing adds up to anything
- why doesn’t any of this compound for me
- I keep starting separate projects that never connect
- I have the tools but they’re not working together
- how do I turn one skill into multiple income streams
- everything I’ve built just sits there on its own
- I have resources but no system connecting them
- I feel like I’m collecting assets instead of building something
