Fair-Weather Discipline
why does one hard day wreck my whole system
Fair-weather discipline is a routine you have only ever run on good days — enough sleep, a decent mood, nothing going wrong — so you have no real evidence it works, only evidence it works when nothing is asking anything of it. It has never once been tested against resistance.
A system that only survives good weather was never actually load-bearing.
What to do about it
Run the exact same version of the routine, with no shortened version and no excuse, on the day you least want to.

How people say it
Nobody looks this up by its clinical name. These are the ways it actually gets said.
- my routine only works on good days
- I only stick to it when life is easy
- the second something goes wrong I skip it
- is my discipline real or just convenient
- I’ve never actually tested my habit on a bad day
- why does one hard day wreck my whole system
- I only show up when I feel like it
